Halladay’s students are given many opportunities to try different disciplines.  From jumping to team penning, driving to showing Clydesdales,  the students of Halladay’s are versatile and well rounded horse people.

 

     

      Melanie began her riding career at the club show level at Rocky Hills Horse Club in Bancroft, Ontario.  Her passion for the Quarter horse developed quickly and she moved on to showing registered horses at the provincial level.  With many provincial hi point and championship titles to her credit, Melanie was selected to represent Ontario at the All American Quarter Horse Congress Youth Team Tournament in Columbus Ohio.  In 1991 Melanie qualified and took her mare “Juscall Me Special” to the AQHA Youth World Championship show in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she competed in 5 events.

      Melanie is a graduate of University of Guelph  (Bsc (Agr)) and also of Montana State University Horseshoeing School (1996).  Since finishing university, her focus has been on achieving coaching credentials and establishing the Halladay’s riding school.  With Coach 1 in both English and Western accomplished, Melanie is currently working towards Coach 2 in both seats.  Melanie is also a registered instructor with the North American Riding for the Handicapped Association.
